Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account or using Quewi (“we”, “our”, or “us”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, you must not use the service. These terms apply to all users of quewi.app.

2. Description of Service

Quewi is an AI-powered movie and series recommendation platform. We provide personalized movie and series recommendations through an AI chat interface, a personal watch tracker, social features (friends and groups), and streaming availability information.

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the service at any time with reasonable notice.

3. Account Registration

You must provide accurate, complete, and current information when creating an account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized use at support@quewi.app.

You may maintain only one account. Creating duplicate accounts to circumvent subscription limits or account suspensions is prohibited.

4. Subscription Plans & Billing

Quewi offers the following subscription plans:

• Free - 1 user, 10 AI queries per day, up to 3 friends, 1 group.
• Premium - 1 user, unlimited AI queries, unlimited friends and groups, group chat context.
• Couple - 2 users, all Premium features shared across both accounts.
• Family - up to 5 users, all Premium features shared across all accounts.

Payments are processed by Dodo Payments, our Merchant of Record. Dodo Payments handles VAT and tax compliance on your behalf. Prices are displayed in USD.

Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period. You may cancel at any time through your account settings; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current paid period. We do not provide refunds for partial billing periods.

We reserve the right to change subscription prices with at least 30 days' notice by email. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the new price.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Scrape, crawl, or systematically download content from Quewi without prior written permission
• Abuse or circumvent API rate limits, including through automated scripts or bots
• Share account credentials across more users than your subscription plan allows (Couple = 2 users, Family = up to 5 users)
• Use the service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable law or regulation
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the service or its infrastructure
• Upload or transmit malicious code, spam, or any content that infringes on the rights of others

6. AI Recommendations Disclaimer

Recommendations generated by Quewi are produced by AI models and are provided for entertainment and discovery purposes only. We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or appropriateness of any recommendation.

Streaming availability information is provided by Watchmode and may not reflect real-time platform changes. Quewi does not guarantee that any title is currently available on any specific streaming platform. Verify availability directly on the platform before subscribing.

7. Intellectual Property

Movie metadata, posters, and related content are provided by TMDB. This product uses the TMDB API but is not endorsed or certified by TMDB. All TMDB content is subject to their terms of use.

The Quewi name, logo, user interface design, and original content are proprietary to Quewi and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from our proprietary content without written permission.

By submitting content to Quewi (such as reviews or ratings), you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use that content to operate and improve the service.

8. Termination

You may delete your account at any time from your profile settings. Upon deletion, your personal data will be permanently removed within 30 days, as described in our Privacy Policy.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms of Service, engage in fraudulent activity, or pose a risk to other users or the integrity of the service. We will provide reasonable notice where practicable, except in cases of severe violations.

9. Limitation of Liability

Quewi is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Quewi shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of or inability to use the service, including but not limited to loss of data, changes in streaming platform availability, or service interruptions.

10. Governing Law

These Terms of Service are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Dominican Republic, without regard to its conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising under these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in the Dominican Republic.

11. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms of Service as the service evolves. For material changes, we will notify you by email at least 30 days before the change takes effect. Continued use of Quewi after the effective date constitutes your acceptance of the updated terms. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page always reflects the current version.
